Mixtape Revolution
So Amazon and Itunes rule our music right? Record companies are grabbing on to what profit they can keep. It's illegal to download MP3 music without paying? The RIAA has calmed down a little but they are only doing what they are hired to do.
What about mixtapes? Artists and Managers give singles to DJ's to promote new music. It's a great advertising model. Clubs play the soon to be hits and we can't wait to hear it on the radio and buy it. Right now it's the only good way to hear the newest songs since radio is controled by old people stuck in a rut. Unfortunitly, even mixtapes have been tagged as illegal by the authorities. Really, how should we choose our music? We can't just take what they give us(Soulja boy).Where's the creativity?
