August 2, 2008 - 4:48pm — SolacetechSummer Music = Reggaeton In Philly
July 18, 2008 - 2:38pm — SolacetechWisin & Yandel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Wisin & Yandel are considered one of the most successful artists in the reggaeton genre, due to their awards, nominations and sales of albums."
I have to give Omar credit for this. We were talking about Reggaeton and Bachata and MTV3. He's second Generation Puerto Rican. What's cool is that he speaks fluent spanish. Most second gen's born here speak more english than anything so he's kinda refreshing. Anyway, he spent some time showing me all the young artists from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. I was surprised, especially about the Group called Wisin & Yandel. With poetic lyrics, very polished videos and sold out american concerts, I can't believe I never heard of them. It's amazing how each Genre of music attract different fans. He made me laugh when he spoke of "Old School" and "New School" artists. I heard of Daddy Yankee and Tego but who's Arcangel and Aventura? I have a lot of catching up to do...
Wireless Philadelphia's PR Machine
July 16, 2008 - 7:27pm — SolacetechGlenn Fleishman On New Network Ownership | Wireless Philadelphia
"This lets Philadelphia achieve a number of different goals," says Glenn. "It means that they could wind up becoming a model city for this kind of approach."
Just received an email from Ryan Nichols/Wireless Philadelphia. His title says "Communications Officer". Sounds like PR to me. The position kinda reminds me of the movie "Fun With Dick and Jane". I think Jim Carrey was the "VP of Communications" in that one,lol... Anyway he directed me to the post highlighted above from earlier this month. It includes audio so take a listen and tell me how doomed we really are in Philly.
New Look, Same Fate

Philly dot com has a new e-magazine feel. It looks likes a very interactive site now with comments and rss enabled. I can't remember the old design but I'm sure it wasn't like this! Looks like Philebrity has some competition...

Who Goes To Geno's Steaks?
June 26, 2008 - 6:21am — SolacetechNo Offense really. I've been a card carrying Philly folk since 1975. Yet I've never had a cheesesteak from Geno's. I really can't do the cheese-wiz thing. Too salty. I'm from West Philly so Papps off 52nd and Girard ave was better. One day I was hungry and desperate so I got one from a chinese store on 60th and Arch st. Nasty!!!! They fried it in day old chicken grease.
The real dig
May 24, 2008 - 11:25pm — Solacetech
Went to home depot yesterday evening. Bought a flat nosed shovel, box of trash
bags, 2 flats of marigolds, 3 fiber optic grass plants and mulch. Took me about 2 hrs. Who else started the green thumb Movement? Subscribe, register, and upload your pictures.
